Sedona, a small town in the U.S. state of Arizona, is quickly becoming a prime location for UFO sightings in the country.

With a population of just about 10,000, the town is located roughly 180 miles from Phoenix, in the counties of Coconino and Yavapai, which together recorded 484 UFO sightings between 2000 and 2023, according to Axios.
John Polk, 56, a UFO tour guide and psychic from Florida, told the Daily Mail that he sees extraterrestrial activity every night from his home in Sedona, where he has lived for eight years.
“There’s a lot of activity. It’s easy to see,” he told the outlet. He believes Sedona is a UFO hotspot because of the vortexes for which the town is famous.
Sedona is also a highly spiritual place and is known as the “gateway to the world” due to vortexes that supposedly open portals to other dimensions and provide healing energy.
Due to the sightings, the town has been compared to Roswell, New Mexico, the most famous UFO-watching spot in the U.S.
The area is a hotbed for UFO activity, with 92 residents per 100,000 reporting a sighting between 2000 and 2023, according to Axios.
Sedona has even become the subject of claims that it houses an “alien base” hidden in a remote area, according to The Daily Express.
Because of this, Polk — who believes aliens “seem to follow him” — regularly leads groups of 20 to 50 people and prepares for each outing by meditating to get the best results.
“You’d see [things] whether I was there or not. But when I am there, you see a lot more, because I know how to work the energy out there,” he explained.
